I love helping people and have the privilege of doing so through the work I do as a Postural Therapist. This is what helped me with my injury when I tried ‘everything’ and nothing else would work. Now, it's what I do for others on a highly individualized level.
My journey towards function and health began when I hurt my shoulder in 1998. I tried countless modalities to heal, and while some things provided temporary relief, nothing helped long-term. As someone who loves being active, this was exceedingly frustrating. This journey to lasting health led me to meeting Dr. Andrew Buser, whose unique insights into posture and function was the first healing paradigm that simply made sense to me, and ultimately was the mechanism helped me regain full, pain-free function.
My desire to deeply understand underlying the physiological (and psychological) mechanisms creating ones dysfunctions inspired my educational endeavor at Columbia University. The EdM provided an amazing bridge of theoretical knowledge and practical application.
The individuals I've helped have ranged between the ages of 9-96; from those in severe and chronic pain to people who want to sit comfortably at work to elite athletes, musicians, and Broadway performers.
I’ve also taken courses in various somatic techniques and am passionate about the mind-body connection. My biggest joy is when I'm able to positively impact an individual’s quality of life long-term, on both a physical and emotional level.
Additionally, I host Postural Therapy Movement Programs for a wide range of organizations, schools, and businesses. Current and past clients include Broadway Actors (Hamilton), the Streiker Center (230+ participants), Columbia University, Columbia University Post-Doctoral Society, Sunshine Sachs, and more.
